This week Andrew Burton came to Highgreen and started to develop ideas for his ENTWINED project. His initial proposal, ‘The Scent of Sheep’ looked to gain a deeper insight into peoples relationship with sheep and goats and in particular how they are husbanded. After spending a week up in Tarset, it was the pens where sheep are dipped and sheared that drew his attention – their functionality, lack of embellishment and their geometry that ‘speaks only of use’. Read more about his ideas on his artist page here.
