In Gratitude explores the broader impact of the VARC experience on past residents.
Jilly Morris (VARC AiR 2009–2010) and Steve White reflect on what it means to live and work creatively in Tarset. Capturing the collective memories of artists whose lives were shaped by this remarkable program, this audio/visual installation is a legacy of gratitude that resonates with both purpose and place.
A series of twelve curated questions were posed to past VARC artists and their recorded responses were collected. What did this unique place offer to different artists? How did it transform them? What lasting impressions and legacies did they carry forward? How did they connect with the local community and landscape?
