August 2022
As associate artist for the ENTWINED: Rural. Land. Lives. Art. programme, Kate Liston made several trips to VARC and produced work underpinned by an interest in parasitism.
Kate collected footage from Highgreen and the surrounding area using a standard 8 camera and made a moving image piece that incorporates text. The writing emerged from thinking about the way thoughts can metaphorically and biologically become entangled with material ecological processes, being shaped by their forms and actions.
