Art Day in Tarset with VARC & Unison Colour

Spend a creative day in the stunning landscape of Tarset starting at Thorneyburn, home of the specialist artists’ pastel making company Unison Colour. After a tour of the production process, there will be an introduction to the work of its founder, John Hersey, and the opportunity to select 8 beautiful Unison Colour handmade pigment pastels, yours to keep.

Then onto Highgreen where you will be given a guided walking tour of 2014-15 VARC Artist in Residence Khosro Adibi’s sculptural work. There will be an opportunity to spend time drawing out on the fells and is suitable for all abilities. Those with limited mobility may wish to stay close at the Artist’s Studio and not venture out on the fells.

Booking essential at £40 per person click here. The day includes morning refreshments and soup and bread lunch. You get to choose 8 Unison Colour pastels to take home with you. Basic drawing materials, boards and paper will be provided. However feel free to bring your own if you wish. Remember to wear suitable outdoor clothing and footware.
