Tarset Village Hall is located at Lanehead, a small hamlet at the southern end of Tarset near the junction of the roads to Greenhaugh, Bellingham, Falstone and Donkleywood and serves the local community and other communities further afield in the North Tyne area.  It is managed by a committee made up of members of the community and is funded through hall charges, hall fundraising events, running the bar, the 100 club and grants.  It is also the location of a community garden and an emergency defibrillator.  The hall also provides broadband, available free of charge, to its users.  The hall is always looking for new ideas for activities to appeal to its users, and hopes that the collaboration with VARC may help in this respect.
