Gil Delindro end of residency show plus Marc Rigelsford and WANE 1

Thank you to everyone who came to see Gil Delindro’s end of residency exhibition that included a spectacular¬† installation in the main barn at Highgreen – a giant rotating sphere made out of moss. As the ball rotated, the moss was ‘played’ using hay needles creating an otherworldly, immersive installation. You can download the exhibition booklet with an insightful essay by Gil Delindro here.

Marc Rigelsford aka Magic Arm created a cosy, intimate setting in which to experience a new sound piece, with narration of Ted Hughes’ poem ‘Wind’ by Holly Lowe.

The Women Artists of the North East Library had a steady flow of visitors to their collection and gathered contacts and references to follow up during their three month residency with VARC/Tarset Village Hall.

“Lovely to stop, take a breathe and just listen and relax”

“Art and wild life, magical!”

“Wow thank you, particularly liked the sound of the moss and the contrast in scale between the moss and the earth. Poem in the dairy really atmospheric too.”

“Spectacular work! Well done Gil”
