Talks and Discussion Event
The programme included renowned poet Sean Borodale reading from his ‘Notes for an Atlas’, a 370 page poem writte whilst walking through London. There was a very interesting discussion held at the conclusion of the ‘Figures in the Landscape’ walk.
There was an event in the barn on the evening of Saturday evening during which a number of perspectives on walking experiences were explored. Visitors joined in this along with panel members made up of artists and other contributors joined by Claudia Zeiske, Director of Deveron Arts, Helen Brown, shepherdess, Revd Nick Chamberlain, Maureen McCracken, farmer and walker, Gwennie Fraser, mindfullness trainer and Buddhist and and Cynthia Morrison-Bell, curator and Director of Art Circuit Touring Exhibitions. The forum was led by Mike Collier of WALK from University of Sunderland.
On Sunday artist Atul Bhalla performed wonderfully and evocatively alongside his film Yamuna Walk projected in the barn.
