Open Library & Reading Group events at Tarset Village Hall

As part of WANE’s residency with VARC, they are running a series of Open Library & Reading Group events at Tarset Village Hall over the summer:

Friday 17th June – 10:00 – 13:30 (Reading Group 11:00-12:30)
Friday 15th July 10:00 – 13.30 (Reading Group 11:00-12:30)
Thursday 4th August 10.30 – 12.30 as part of the regular Coffee Morning (Reading Group 11 – 12)

Address: Tarset Village Hall, Lanehead, Northumberland NE48 1NT map here

The Open Libraries are a chance to explore the collection and have a chat. There will also be an informal Reading Group for anyone that wishes to join. Each event will focus on two texts from their collection that explore a connection to art and craft, living rurally, or to landscape.

“At the first group on 17th June we’ll be reading extracts from ‘LOST NARRATIVES: The work of Catherine Bertola’ and ‘The Knucklebone Floor’ poems by Linda France. Both are available to download in advance from our website here, where you can also find all details about the event.

We’re really excited to meet creative practitioners and connect with local networks in and around Tarset. If you’re interested in the library or have a creative connection to Northumberland we’d love for you to join us.”
